Your first visit with Dr. Bob Seiler

Q: How long will I have to wait for my first appointment?
A: I see most patients within 24 hours of their initial call. My office hours are Monday through Thursday 7am to 6pm; Friday from 7am to noon; with optional hours by request evenings, Saturdays and Sundays. I can also be contacted on an emergency basis at 801-230-0166.

Q: How long will my first appointment last?
A: Our office schedules 40 minutes for a first appointment with new patients. Follow-up office visits are generally 20 to 40 minutes, unless more time is needed.

Q: Will I have a lot of chiropractic visits?
A: Our philosophy is to develop treatment plans with you that eliminate excessive visits. Using the principles of AK helps us to understand the nature of your problem so that you can feel better sooner.

Q: Do I have to get x-rays?
A: The philosophy of Applied Kinesiology does not require x-rays. Previous x-rays, if taken within one year, can be referred to unless a significant injury/trauma has occurred.

Q: Will my treatment hurt? I've heard about "popping noises" during adjustments — is that normal?
A: A chiropractic adjustment should not hurt. Oftentimes there is a sound, like the popping of popcorn, which follows a release of stored energy (benefiting lymphatic drainage, nerve supply, blood flow and venous return). This is because the adjustment shifts the nervous system's energy balance within our "innate healing capabilities". Chiropractic adjustments can also be given with state-of-art techniques where there is no popping sound. The body wants to heal; it seeks homeostasis and optimal functioning and performance. The chiropractor gently and intuitively assists the body to reach its optimal state of being.

Q: How soon will I get better?
A: Each patient's health concern(s) is unique for that individual. Depending on the degree of injury/trauma/repeated patterns of thoughts or feelings, and the length of time that these stimuli have occurred will affect the process of change and healing. Our chiropractic philosophy is not for you to visit our office excessively. We want you to be healthy and enjoying your life!

Q: What forms of payments do you accept?
A: Dr. Seiler accepts cash, personal checks, most major credit cards, your auto insurance if involved in a car accident and selected medical insurances, Aetna, Traditional Blue-Cross-Blue-Shield, First Health and Mailhandlers. You can contact your insurance to see if you qualify for out-of-network benefits. In this case you will pay for the services at your time of visit and Dr. Seiler will provide you with a super-bill to submit to your insurance for reimbursement. Your insurance company will reimburse you directly.

Q: What's your cancellation policy?
A: Our policy requires a 24 hour notice for cancellation, so that we may help others in the time reserved for you.

Q: How long will I be waiting in the reception area before I am seen?
A: Our office is respectful of the importance of your time. We strive for promptness and you can expect to be seen right away with no more then a 10-15 minute wait. On your first visit, I ask that you arrive 15 minutes early to complete initial paperwork and to give yourself some extra time getting to the office.

I look forward in meeting and helping you!
